Course description:

This course provides the unique opportunity to create a project, such as a Web application, with concomitant research. Students receive guidance from members of the OMSCS research team to achieve these challenging goals within one semester. Weekly progress reports are submitted, reflecting appropriate progress and an agile development process.

Course learning outcomes:

By the end of the course, the student will:

  1. Create a Web application that, at a minimum, contains information regarding their project.
  2. Create a research paper that utilizes their project as a foundation.
  3. Gain an awareness of the various concepts and tools required to accomplish the above goals.
Required course materials:

None. However, the student may need to become familiar with the freely available materials provided by Georgia Tech.

F: 0-59
