One-semester course in organic chemistry for some majors in engineering and other fields; often the second or third course in chemistry for engineering majors. The principles of organic chemistry will be surveyed as a basis for understanding materials, biochemical processes and applications. Credit not awarded for both CHEM 1315 and CHEM 2311.
