Are you interested in seeing how the mathematics you have learned at Georgia Tech can help answer biological questions? If so, this course is for you. No prior background in biology is required. We will introduce the biological concepts needed and explore how mathematical ideas help us understand biological systems, and how biological questions inspire new mathematics. The course will emphasize modeling, applications, and interpretation. We will use proofs to deepen our understanding of selected ideas, but the main focus will be on developing and analyzing mathematical models of biological phenomena. Please note that this course is offered on spring of odd years (every other year).
