This class combines classroom discussion with Hispanic community service projects to allow students to study Hispanic cultures and practice Spanish with native speakers. Conducted in Spanish.

This course develops students’ oral proficiency in Russian through interactive communicative activities, structured conversations, and discussions of everyday topics. Emphasis is placed on fluency, listening comprehension, vocabulary development, and confidence in spoken communication. No homework or exams.

The course is designed to equip students with strong intercultural communication and critical thinking skills in business, economics, politics, international relations, education, media, etc., in an increasingly globalized world.

Utilizing authentic film texts, this advanced language/culture course develops the students; listening, reading, writing, presentation, and web-based research abilities and skills in Chinese.

A linguistic perspective on language processing topics (search, vector semantics, document classification, digital humanities, translation, dialog, generative models). Students read current literature and implement concepts in Python.

This course offers an interdisciplinary analysis of the language, culture, history and politics of select Spanish novels and/or television series. Taught in Spanish.

Optional project course taught in Japanese.
